• Conduct thorough X-ray and physical inspections of air cargo, mail, and packages to detect prohibited items and ensuring compliance with national and international aviation security regulations.

• Monitor and secure the warehouse premises, ensuring that only authorized personnel have access to secure cargo areas. Maintain a chain of custody for regulated Items

• Verify and inspect cargo loading/unloading into aircraft holds to ensure security seals, proper documentation and adherence to load plans and safety protocols.

• Accurately complete screening logs, reports, and security declarations in accordance with AVSEC guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Coordinate with cargo agents, airline staff, and law enforcement when necessary and respond swiftly to any security breaches or suspicious items.

• Monitor CCTV and other surveillance systems in cargo and airside areas for suspicious activity and reporting anomalies to the security command

• Perform static guarding and perimeter checks around aircraft during ground operations to prevent unlawful interference or unauthorized access.

• Operate X-ray machines, Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) devices, and handheld metal detectors effectively for high-accuracy cargo screening.

• Conduct detailed examination of passports, visas, and other travel documents for authenticity and compliance.
• Maintain a high level of awareness and knowledge of current threats, travel patterns, and security alerts.
• Report suspicious findings and take necessary steps in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Assist in the identification of forged or altered travel documents.
• Use databases and security systems to check passenger backgrounds against watchlists and alert systems.
• Collaborate with immigration, airline, and other security agencies to verify passenger information and travel intent.
• Observe passenger behavior and apply profiling techniques to identify suspicious or high-risk individuals.

• Oversee safe and timely loading/unloading of baggage, cargo, and mail, ensuring proper weight distribution and handling procedures.
• Assist with aircraft parking, marshalling, and ensuring ground equipment is correctly positioned and removed.
• Liaise with flight crews, ground handlers, and operations control for smooth turnaround operations.
• Monitor ramp operations for adherence to safety procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage and hazard mitigation
• Maintain clear, professional communication with flight crew and control units regarding loading status, delays, or safety concernso
• Complete ramp-related paperwork such as load sheets, equipment usage logs, and incident reports with accuracy.
• Monitor ramp area for adherence to safety regulations, equipment checks, and hazard prevention.
